Privacy Policy
Version 1.0 · Last updated: October 8, 2026
At Wenas Apps, we develop digital applications, primarily for Android devices, aiming to make them simple, useful, fast and respectful of users' privacy.
This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information related to our applications and website. It also describes users' rights under applicable law.
1. Data Controller
Wenas Apps is responsible for processing personal data related to its services:

2. Applications Covered
This policy applies to applications developed and distributed by Wenas Apps that refer to this Privacy Policy.
These currently include:
- App Shortcut Maker: an application designed to help users create shortcuts to apps installed on their Android devices.
- A Simple Task Widget: a widget designed to display and manage a visual count of completed tasks from the home screen.
The specific information handled by each app may vary depending on its version and available features. This policy will be updated when appropriate if an app introduces new data-processing practices.
3. Privacy Principles
We aim to follow these principles:
- Collect and use only the information that is necessary.
- Prefer local processing whenever technically possible.
- Do not sell users' personal data.
- Do not use data for purposes incompatible with those disclosed.
- Apply reasonable security measures.
- Provide ways for users to exercise their rights.
4. App Shortcut Maker
App Shortcut Maker may access the list of apps installed on the device to display available apps and allow users to select one for shortcut creation.
Access to the installed-app list is used solely to provide this core feature. When this processing takes place locally on the device, the information is not sent to Wenas Apps.
App Shortcut Maker does not use the installed-app list for advertising, behavioral analytics, selling information or creating user profiles.
The app will request only the access and permissions necessary to provide its features.
5. A Simple Task Widget
A Simple Task Widget is designed to operate primarily locally on the device.
Information related to the task count, settings or widget operation may be stored locally so the app can preserve its state.
This information is not sent to Wenas Apps when the app operates exclusively through local storage.
6. Information Voluntarily Provided by Users
If a user contacts Wenas Apps by email, we may process their email address, message contents and any other information they voluntarily provide.
This information will be used to answer questions, provide support, handle privacy requests or address other matters related to our services.
7. Device Data and Permissions
Depending on the application, certain technical data or operating-system permissions may be necessary to provide its features.
An app's technical ability to access certain device information does not necessarily mean that Wenas Apps collects that information.
Permissions will be requested only when necessary for an app feature and will be used for the purposes disclosed to the user.
8. Third-Party Services
Some apps may incorporate third-party services needed for distribution, advertising, payments, technical operation, analytics or specific features.
When an app uses a third-party service that processes user information, that processing may also be subject to the provider's privacy policy.
Wenas Apps will seek to use third-party services compatible with the app's features and applicable privacy obligations.
If third-party services are introduced that significantly change data-processing practices, this policy and the relevant Google Play information will be updated when necessary.
9. Advertising
Some Wenas Apps applications may offer a free version supported by advertising.
When an app includes an advertising provider, that provider may process technical data, device identifiers or other information needed to deliver, measure or personalize ads, according to its own privacy policy and the available privacy settings.
The list of installed apps used by App Shortcut Maker for its core feature will not be shared with advertising providers for advertising or monetization purposes.
10. Purchases and Premium Features
Some apps may offer Premium features or the option to remove advertising through purchases made using supported distribution platforms.
When Google Play or another distribution provider is used, payment processing will follow that provider's terms and privacy policies.
Wenas Apps does not directly request or store the complete bank card details used for these purchases.
11. International Transfers and Processing
Some technology providers used by our apps or distribution platforms may process information on servers located outside Chile.
Any international transfer or processing of personal data will be carried out in accordance with the conditions and safeguards required by applicable law and the policies of the providers involved.
12. Data Retention
Wenas Apps will retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was processed, meet legal obligations or address potential requests or disputes.
Information stored exclusively on the user's device remains under the user's control and may be deleted through the available device or app features, as applicable.
13. Data Deletion
Where applicable, users may request deletion of personal data held by Wenas Apps by writing to wenasapps@gmail.com.
Requests will be assessed under applicable law. Some data may need to be retained because of a legal obligation or another legitimate reason recognized by law.
Apps that do not require a user account do not create an account record that Wenas Apps would need to delete.
14. Security
We adopt reasonable measures to protect personal data that may be processed against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, disclosure or misuse.
When personal information is transmitted over the internet, we seek to use appropriate safeguards, including encryption of communications where applicable.
15. User Rights
Users may exercise the rights granted under applicable Chilean personal data protection law.
Depending on the applicable legal framework and the circumstances of processing, these rights may include:
- Access to personal data being processed.
- Correction of inaccurate, incomplete or outdated data.
- Erasure or deletion where applicable.
- Objection to certain processing where applicable.
- Blocking or temporary restriction of processing where applicable.
- Data portability in cases established by law.
- Withdrawal of consent when processing is based on consent.
Chile's Law No. 21,719 establishes an updated personal data protection framework and provides, among other rights, access, rectification, erasure, objection, blocking and portability. The law enters into force on December 1, 2026.
16. How to Exercise Your Rights
To submit a request concerning personal data, users may write to:
The request should provide, to the extent necessary to process it, the requester's identity, the right they wish to exercise and a means of receiving a response.
Wenas Apps may request information reasonably necessary to verify the requester's identity and prevent personal information from being disclosed to an unauthorized person.
Requests will be handled within the time limits and under the conditions established by applicable law.
17. Children
Our apps are not specifically designed to collect children's personal information.
We do not knowingly request personal information from minors when that information is not necessary for an app's functionality.

The Wenas Apps website provides information about our applications and ways to contact us.
The website currently does not require visitors to create an account or provide forms intended to collect personal information directly through the page.
The website may be hosted by web infrastructure providers that process technical information needed to provide the service, such as network requests, IP addresses or other technical data. Such processing may also be subject to the infrastructure provider's policies.
